The European alternative to Google Docs and Office online

Write, calculate and present together in the browser, on ordinary Word, Excel and PowerPoint files in Binadit Drive. Built on Collabora Online, the European office suite based on LibreOffice.

Why companies look for an alternative

Documents at an American company

Google Docs and Microsoft's web apps run on servers of American companies.

Formats you cannot take along

A Google Doc is a link to Google's servers, not a file on your computer.

Only with the whole package

Working together in the browser comes with a plan per user for the whole suite.

How the switch works

  1. Move the documents

Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are exported as Word, Excel and PowerPoint files and copied to Binadit Drive.

  2. Open them in the browser

Click a document in Drive and it opens in Office, for everyone with access.

  3. Or on your computer

The same files are in Finder and File Explorer, for Word, Excel or LibreOffice.

When Google Docs fits better

Google Docs is very good at many people suggesting changes in one text at the same moment, and at Apps Script. Complex Word or Excel files also look slightly different in any browser editor, ours included. For everyday documents, Office does the job in Europe.

Your documents stay files

Ordinary Office files, edited together in the browser, stored in the Netherlands.
