Mail, calendar, drive and meetings. On Dutch servers, under European law.

Binadit Workspace is the alternative to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 for companies that want to keep their data in Europe. One login, your own domain, and nothing that falls under American law.

Built and run by Binadit in Rotterdam, for years the infrastructure partner of companies that cannot afford downtime.

Three colleagues laughing together at a table with their laptops

Everything your team uses every day, from one provider

No separate subscriptions you have to tie together yourself. Mail, calendar, files, meetings and scheduling work together and share one login. Use the webmail, our own mail program Northmail, or the program you already had.

Mail and calendar

Mail, calendar and contacts on your own domain

A mailbox with calendar and contacts, in the webmail or in the mail program you already use. On your own domain, with security set up properly from day one.

  • Webmail in the Binadit house style, in 27 languages
  • Works with any mail program: IMAP, SMTP, CalDAV and CardDAV, and JMAP for those that support it
  • Shared mailboxes such as info@ and sales@, with permissions per colleague
  • Two-step verification, and SPF, DKIM and DMARC prepared per domain
  • Meeting invitations go out by themselves, with a Meet link included

Drive

Sync, share and safely receive files

Your files on a server in the Netherlands, synchronised with your Mac. Sharing is a link. Receiving works too: someone outside your company sends you a file safely, without an account and without an email attachment.

  • Your folders in the Finder, with files on demand so your disk does not fill up
  • Share files and folders with a link that expires when you choose
  • Binadit Receive: send large files and receive them safely, encrypted and deleted afterwards
  • Team folders with permissions per colleague and their own quota
  • Versions and a trash, so a mistake can be undone
  • Optionally as your own server: one program on a Linux server, no Docker

Receive

Receive confidential files from anyone, safely

A page on your own address where clients, counterparties and applicants hand you files. No account, no app, no attachment in the mail. Everything is encrypted in their browser before it leaves and is deleted again after the retention period. The replacement for Cryptshare, included with Drive.

  • The sender opens your link, chooses your colleague and drops files or a whole folder; nothing to install
  • Names and contents are encrypted in the sender's browser; the server only ever stores ciphertext
  • The password never travels with the mail and cannot be recovered by an administrator
  • Up to 100 files and 10 GB per transfer, kept for 1 to 30 days and then deleted
  • Only addresses on your own domains can receive; you see every transfer and can revoke it
  • Included with Binadit Drive, on our servers in the Netherlands or on your own

Office

Documents, spreadsheets and presentations in the browser

Write, calculate and present together in the browser, on files that stay on Binadit Drive. Built on Collabora Online, the European office suite based on LibreOffice, so nothing leaves your Workspace.

  • Word, Excel and PowerPoint files open and save in their own formats; OpenDocument too
  • Work on the same document at the same time and see each other's changes as they happen
  • Opens straight from Drive, with your Workspace login; no second account
  • Every save is a version on Drive, so a mistake can be undone
  • New document, spreadsheet or presentation with one click, in your own folders
  • Runs on Binadit's own servers in the Netherlands, not at Google or Microsoft

Meet

Video meetings, no account needed for your guests

Start a meeting from your calendar or with one click on meet.binadit.work. Whoever receives the link joins in the browser, without an account and without installing anything.

  • Only a Workspace account can start a meeting; guests wait until you arrive
  • The link goes into the calendar invitation automatically
  • In the 24 official languages of the EU
  • On our own servers in the Netherlands, based on Jitsi
  • Meet never sees your password: you sign in with your own mail server

Book

A booking page for every mailbox

Let customers pick a time themselves, as with Calendly, but across all your calendars and mailboxes and without any integration work. The appointment lands straight in your calendar, with a Meet link.

  • Looks at all your calendars at once and only shows times when you are really free
  • Several links per page: a half-hour introduction, an hour-long consultation
  • Your own logo and text, in 34 languages
  • Confirmation and invitation come from your own mail server
  • Off by default; every user switches it on themselves

Northmail

Our own mail program for macOS and Windows

A free mail program with calendar and contacts, laid out like classic Outlook. Made for Binadit Workspace, but it also works with Exchange and Gmail.

  • Mail, calendar and contacts in one window, in the three-pane layout you know
  • Finds the settings of your Workspace account by itself
  • Exchange and Gmail too, side by side in the same program
  • Copy or move messages and folders reliably between two accounts
  • Passwords in your system keychain, updates signed and delivered through binadit.work
  • For macOS and Windows, signed and with automatic updates

Why not just Google or Microsoft

Because your data then falls under American law, even when it sits in a European data centre. For many companies, and certainly for anyone handling customers' personal data, that is no longer a side issue.

Out of reach of the Cloud Act

The US Cloud Act applies to American companies, wherever their servers are. Binadit is a Dutch company without an American parent, and the software runs on servers we operate ourselves. There is no party in the chain bound by that law.

GDPR compliant

You sign a processing agreement under European law. There is no transfer to a third country, so no dependence on the Data Privacy Framework or on standard clauses that may be invalid tomorrow.

Dutch ownership, European hosting

Binadit B.V. is entirely in Dutch hands. Mail, drive, meetings and scheduling run on servers in the Netherlands, in data centres of European companies. No subcontractor in the United States, not even for a small part.

The apps

Drive and Northmail are signed apps for macOS and Windows. They work with Binadit's Dutch server and with your own Workspace server. Updates come from binadit.work, which also holds the full release history.

Binadit Drive

Binadit Drive 0.1.1: the sync engine now keeps running on the Mac so changes from other devices arrive right away, and commands queued before the engine started are no longer lost. macOS, Windows and Linux are built from the same source.

Start today

Create an account on my.binadit.com and order Workspace for your domain. Is your domain registered with Binadit, or do we manage its DNS? Then we put the records for mail, security and certificates in place for you, and you are up and running the same day.

  1. Your account

Create an account on my.binadit.com, add your company and choose Workspace. No card needed to start; you get a quote with it.

  2. Your domain and DNS

A domain registered with Binadit, or with its DNS in our hands, is ready in minutes: MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, autoconfig and the certificate names are placed for you. Is your domain elsewhere? Point its nameservers to Binadit, or set the records we give you.

  3. Your people

Create mailboxes, shared mailboxes and drive accounts in the portal, or let us do it and help move existing mail and files. Then sign in: the webmail, Northmail, Drive and Meet share one login.

Prefer to talk it through first? Ask for a demo and you get one fixed contact who knows your environment.

DNS that does more than store records

Every Workspace domain lives in the Binadit DNS tool, part of my.binadit.com. It was built for people who manage many domains and cannot afford a typo, which is why it does things other DNS panels leave out.

Every change is a version

Each save creates a version. Made a mistake? Restore the previous one with one click, and the restore itself is logged too.

Scheduled changes

Prepare a change now and let it go live at a moment you choose, such as switching the MX records to Workspace on Friday at 22:00, when nobody is mailing.

Templates

Save the records of a domain as a template and apply it to the next domain. Templates are grouped, so a Workspace domain is set up the same way every time.

Search and replace across domains

Change an IP address or a hostname in all your domains at once, or edit several domains in one go. Every affected domain gets its own version.

Copy, import and export

Copy the records of another domain, import from Cloudflare or a zone file, and export whenever you want. Nothing is locked in.

Workspace records ready-made

MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, autoconfig and the names for the certificates: the tool knows what Workspace needs and puts it in place without retyping.

Registered your domain elsewhere? Move the DNS to Binadit by pointing the nameservers to us, or keep it where it is and set the records we give you. Both work.

A product of Binadit

For years Binadit has run the infrastructure of companies that cannot afford downtime: servers, networks, backups and security, taken entirely off their hands. Workspace is built on that same foundation and run by the same people.
