Privacy policy

Binadit Drive keeps your files on a European server and syncs them to your devices. This policy explains what the service and its apps do with your data.

Last updated: .

Who we are

Binadit Drive is a file storage and synchronization service provided by Binadit B.V., Seinhuiswachter 2, 3034 KH Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 80923216. Contact contact@binadit.com for privacy questions or support@binadit.com for product support.

This product-specific policy supplements the Binadit privacy policy, which describes our company contact details, legal bases, service and correspondence records, and your data protection rights. When your organization provides your account, it decides what the service is used for and Binadit processes the data on its behalf.

Data we process and why

We do not use your files or account data for advertising, do not sell them, do not build profiles and do not use them to train AI models. The apps contain no advertising, analytics or tracking code and do not share data with third parties.

Where data is stored

Files and account data are stored encrypted on servers operated by Binadit in the Netherlands. If your organization runs its own Binadit Drive server, your data is stored there and that organization is responsible for it.

The apps keep a local copy of the files you open or choose to keep offline, plus a small database describing your folders, so they work offline and sync efficiently. On iPhone and iPad these files are managed by the Files app; on a Mac by Finder; on Windows by File Explorer. The sign-in token of each device is stored in the operating system's keychain or credential store. Your password is never stored by the apps; it is used once to link the device, and Workspace accounts sign in through the browser.

Sharing you control

When you share a file or folder, create a public link or add people to a team folder, those people can see and, depending on the permission, change that content. Anyone with a public link can open what it points to until the link expires or you remove it.

Retention and removal

Files stay stored until you delete them. Deleted files go to the trash and earlier versions are kept according to the retention settings of your account; after that they are removed permanently. Removing an account from a device removes that device's local copies and sign-in token; it does not delete anything on the server. When an account is closed, its files are deleted after the agreed retention period, unless your organization moves them to another person first.

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to our processing by emailing contact@binadit.com. If your organization provides your account, we will involve it. The Binadit privacy policy explains these rights and how to contact the Dutch data protection authority.

Downloads, updates and support

Website visits, update checks and app downloads contact binadit.work, which can receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and the requested file. Apps installed through the App Store are also subject to Apple's policies. If you contact support, we process the information you choose to provide under the Binadit privacy policy. Never send us your password.
