Binadit Receive

Confidential files come in through the front door

Give clients, counterparties and applicants one address where they hand you files. No account, no app, no attachment in the mail. The files are encrypted in their browser before they leave, land with the right colleague, and disappear again when you say so.

Made for offices that receive sensitive material every day

Law firms

Case files, evidence and signed agreements arrive from clients and opposing counsel without a 40 MB attachment bouncing. Every transfer is addressed to one lawyer and is gone after the retention period.

Accountants and auditors

Bank statements, payroll data and annual figures come in through one page on your own domain, encrypted before they leave the client's computer, instead of by mail.

Supervisors and public bodies

Reports, notifications and requested documents from the organisations you supervise, on a server in the Netherlands, with an overview of what came in and when it expires.

Anyone still mailing attachments

HR receives applications, notaries receive identity documents, agencies receive artwork. If it is too big or too sensitive for mail, it belongs here.

How it works

  1. Share your Receive address

Your office gets a page such as drive.binadit.work/send/your-firm. Put it on your website, in your mail signature, in the engagement letter.

  2. The sender picks a colleague and drops the files

They choose an address on your domain, select files or a whole folder, and the browser generates a strong password. Names and contents are encrypted right there, before anything is sent.

  3. The password goes another way

Your colleague receives a mail with a download link. The password is not in it: the sender passes it on by phone, text message or in person. Nobody at Binadit or in your own IT department can read what was sent.

  4. Download, then it is gone

Your colleague opens the link, types the password and saves the files straight to disk. After the retention period, 14 days unless you choose otherwise, the server deletes everything.

Coming from Cryptshare

Many law firms, accountancies and supervisors use Cryptshare today. Binadit Receive keeps the habits your people and your clients know, and changes what is underneath.

Aspect Binadit Receive Cryptshare
Account for the sender None. A link on your domain is enough. None for external parties either.
Where the files are encrypted In the sender's browser, before upload. The server only stores ciphertext and never sees the password. On the Cryptshare server, which holds the files during the exchange.
Password Generated in the browser, shared through a separate channel, not recoverable by anyone. Chosen by the sender and passed on separately, or exchanged through Cryptshare's own mechanism.
Where it runs On Binadit's servers in the Netherlands, or on your own Linux server with Binadit Drive. German vendor (Pointsharp); on your own server or as a hosted service.
Price Included with Binadit Drive. No licence per user or per sender. Separate licence, per user or per server.
Oversight Your administrator sees every transfer with its size, expiry and delivery status, and can revoke it. File names stay encrypted, even for the administrator. The administrator sees transfers and logs.
Retention 1 to 30 days, set by you; 14 days by default. Deleted automatically. Configurable retention, deleted automatically.

Details about Cryptshare come from its public documentation, September 2026, and may change. Cryptshare is a product of Pointsharp.

What makes it different

Encrypted before it leaves

The browser encrypts every file with its own key and wraps the file list in a password-protected container, using the open age format. The server receives opaque bytes and knows only the recipient's address and the sizes.

The password is nobody's to find

It is never stored, never mailed and cannot be reset. Lose it and the transfer is unreadable, for you and for us. That is the point.

Only your people can receive

Your administrator lists the exact domains that may receive. A sender cannot send to a private address or a typo. The list is checked again when the mail goes out.

Large files, whole folders

Up to 100 files and 10 GB in one transfer, uploaded in resumable pieces. A dropped connection continues where it stopped, in the same tab.

Visible, revocable, gone

Every transfer shows who received it, how big it was, when it expires and whether the mail went out. One click revokes the link. After the retention period the server deletes the files itself.

Part of Drive, no extra product

Receive lives in the Drive web portal your team already uses, with the same login and the same servers. It works whether or not you sync files with Drive.

Under the hood

Encryption
age (X25519 and ChaCha20-Poly1305): a fresh key per file, the file list in a passphrase-protected container; standard age, no home-made cryptography
What the server knows
Company, recipient address, file identifiers and ciphertext lengths. No names, no contents, no password
Links
Upload and download capabilities of at least 256 random bits, never in a URL, referrer, cookie or log
Limits
100 files and 10 GB per transfer, 1 MB resumable chunks, a storage quota per inbox, retention 1 to 30 days
Notification
One durable mail per transfer from a fixed sender, with a stable Message-ID; a failed mail can be retried
Browser
Sending works in any current browser; downloading writes straight to disk in Chrome or Edge on the desktop

Try it with your own domain

Receive comes with Binadit Drive. We set up your domains and retention with you, and you can be receiving files the same day.
