Who we are
Binadit Conserio is a business chat service provided by Binadit B.V., Seinhuiswachter 2, 3034 KH Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 80923216. Contact contact@binadit.com for privacy questions or support@binadit.com for product support.
This product-specific policy supplements the Binadit privacy policy, which describes our company contact details, legal bases, service and correspondence records, and your data protection rights. Your company provides your account, decides what Conserio is used for and who may take part, and Binadit processes the data on its behalf.
Data we process and why
- Your account: e-mail address, display name, company, role, the colour and initials you choose and your notification settings, to give you access and show who wrote what.
- Your messages: what you write in channels, direct messages and threads, with reactions, edits, pins, saved items and the time of each message, so that your company can read, search and export its conversations. Files you share are stored in your company's Team Drive, not in Conserio; the chat keeps a reference and the file name.
- External guests: when your company invites someone from outside, Conserio keeps that person's e-mail address, name, the inviter and the projects and dates of the invitation, so the guest can take part and access can be ended.
- Your devices: for each app you sign in with, a device name, the app version, when it was last seen and, on a phone, a key for encrypted push notifications, so you can see and sign out your devices.
- Security records: sign-ins, failed attempts, blocked users and administrative changes with time and IP address, to protect your company's workspace and investigate abuse.
We do not use your messages or account data for advertising, do not sell them, do not build profiles and do not use them to train AI models. The apps contain no advertising, analytics or tracking code and share no data with third parties.
Where data is stored
Messages and account data are stored encrypted on servers operated by Binadit in the Netherlands. Connections use TLS. Conserio does not use end-to-end encryption, so that search, a complete history on a new device, retention and an export for your company keep working. If your company runs its own Conserio server, your data is stored there and that company is responsible for it.
The apps keep a local copy of your messages on your device, so they open instantly and work offline. Your sign-in keys are stored in the operating system's keychain. Conserio never sees your password: you sign in at your company's mail server, in your browser.
Push notifications on a phone pass through Apple or Google. Conserio encrypts the content with a key that only exists on your phone, so Apple and Google see only an encrypted block. Link previews are fetched by the Conserio server, not by your device, so the linked site does not learn who looked at the preview.
Retention and removal
Messages are kept as long as your company's chosen history: 6, 12, 24 or 36 months. Older messages are deleted for good, on the server and on every device, together with their search data and cached images. Signing out a device or an account removes that device's local copy. When your company ends your account, your messages remain part of the company's history until that period expires, under the company's responsibility.
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to our processing by emailing contact@binadit.com. Because your company provides your account, we will involve it. The Binadit privacy policy explains these rights and how to contact the Dutch data protection authority.
Downloads, updates and support
Website visits, update checks and app downloads contact binadit.work, which can receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and the requested file. Apps installed through the App Store or Google Play are also subject to Apple's and Google's policies. If you contact support, we process the information you choose to provide under the Binadit privacy policy. Never send us your password.
